Dù cho... thì..., bất kể/bất luận... thì...
1. used for saying that something is not important or will not have an effect.
No matter where I am, I'm always thinking of you.
Dù cho anh ở đâu, anh vẫn luôn nghĩ đến em.
Call me when you get there, no matter what the time is.
Gọi tôi khi anh đến đó nhé, bất kể giờ nào.
No matter what they tell us
No matter what they do
No matter what they teach us
What we believe is true.
No matter what they call us
How ever they attack
No matter where they take us
We'll find our own way back...
2. to refer to a situation that cannot be changed, even though we try:
No matter what I wear, I always feel dull and old-fashioned.
Bất kể tôi mặc cái gì, (thì) tôi cũng luôn cảm thấy lỗi thời và ngốc nghếch.
No matter where she looked, she could not find the missing paper.
Bất luận cô ấy nhìn chỗ nào, (thì) cô ấy cũng không thể tìm ra tờ giấy bị mất.
He never answers emails, no matter how many you send him.
Anh ta chưa bao giờ trả lời thư cả, dù cho anh có gởi cho anh ta bao nhiêu đi chăng nữa.
No matter how much you protect your children, they will still make mistakes.
Dù cho bạn có bảo vệ con cái bạn nhiều đến thế nào đi chăng nữa, thì chúng cũng sẽ phạm phải những sai lầm.
Lưu ý: sự khác nhau giữa 2 cấu trúc:
1. "NO MATTER how much/how many + Subject + Verb..."
No matter how much you protect your children, they will still make mistakes.
2. "NO MATTER how + adjective + Subject + be..."
They don't last long no matter how careful you are.
