Practice. Hello assistants. Anna, how old are you?
I am twenty four years old.

Very good. Silvija, how old are you?
I am twenty five years old.

Ok. And how old are you Alberto?
I am old. I am twenty five years old.

That's not old Alberto. How old is your mother?
I am not sure. I think she's forty four years old.

Ok. Very good. And how old is your father Silvija?
He is fifty two. My mother is forty six.

Very good. Anna, how old is your grandmother?
She's sixty three. My grandfather is sixty eight.

Allright. Very good. Thank you everyone. Now we want to learn some vocabularies. We're going to talk about Height and Weight and how to measure Height and Weight.

OK, let's first talk about Height. So expression Height is how tall he is. It is measure in centimeters or inches.
Allright. We also want to learn Weight. If person Weight is how heavy he is. It is measure in kilograms or pounds.
If you want to know something about the person's Height, you can ask "How tall are you?"
If you want to know about the person's Weight, you can ask "How much do you weigh?" However, be careful with that question because people don't like to tell their weight.

Allright. Now let's practise using numbers and our new vocabularies.
Alberto, how tall are you?
I am tall. I am one meter eighty centimeters.

Thank you. Anna, how tall are you?
I am tall too. I am one meter and seventy eight centimeters.

Good. Silvija, how tall are you?
I am medium height. I'm one meter sixty eight centimeters.

Ok, very good. How much do you weigh Silvija?
That isn't a good question. You couldn't ask girls that.

Ok, I'm sorry. How much do you weigh Alberto?
I weight seventy neight kilograms.

Allright. Thank you everyone. Let's look at some more numbers. We have many numbers to learn today not just measure height and weight but more general numbers.
For example we need to know "100 = one hundred" continuing with "200 = two hundred" continuing "300 = three hundred" "400 = four hundred" "500 = five hundred" of course continuing with "600 = six hundred" "700 = seven hundred" "800 = eight hundred" "900 = nine hundred" and the big number "1,000 = one thousand" and a very big number "1,000,000 = one million"

Allright, let's repeat the new numbers
"100 = one hundred"
"200 = two hundred"
"300 = three hundred"
"400 = four hundred"
"500 = five hundred"
"600 = six hundred"
"700 = seven hundred"
"800 = eight hundred"
"900 = nine hundred"
"1,000 = one thousand"
"1,000,000 = one million"

Allright, let's practise these new numbers.
Silvia, I have one hundred apples, my cousins have three hundred apples. So how many apples do we have together?
That's easy. I'm good at Math. You have four hundred apples together. That's a lot of apples.

Good. Yes, you're right. A lot of apples.
Anna, I have eight hundred dollars in the bank. But I give three hundred dollars to my aunt. So how much money do I have now?

You have five hundred dollars now. That's not difficult.

Yes, you're very good at Math Anna. Thank you.

Alberto, my father has four hundred books in his library. He buys six hundred more books. So how many books does he have now?
I think he has one thousand books. Is that right?

Yes, that's right. Very good. You are all very good at Math.

Now it's time to look and to listen.
She has 8 jobs!
My grandparents gave me $200 for my birthday.
You birthday is 21 days from now.
My nephew Tommy has $100 in the bank.
Now, let's look at Ordinal Numbers. Here are some examples:
Her birthday is on the 26th of December.
It is his first job.
Carol starts work on the 3rd of March.
Judy is her fourth child.

Let's review these examples:
Her birthday is on the 26th of December.
It is his first job.
Carol starts work on the 3rd of March.
Judy is her fourth child.

So remember ordinal numbers give information about the order of things.
There are many order numbers. Let's start for example: first, second, third and continue on.

Let's look at more examples:
John visited his uncle.
Then, John visited his friend.
After that, John visited the zoo.
Finally, john visited his girlfriend.

So, let's look at these examples:
John visited his uncle.
Then, John visited his friend.
After that, John visited the zoo.
Finally, john visited his girlfriend.

Now, let's try to use our ordirnal numbers and creat the sense sentences using the numbers we have learn. So we can say:
The first thing John did was visit his uncle.
The second thing he did was visit his friend.
The thrid thing he did was visit the zoo.
And the fourth thing he did was visit his girlfiend.
So John has had a very busy day.
Let's review our examples of John's day.
Now the first thing John did was visit his uncle.
The second thing he did was visit his friend.
The third thing he did was visit the zoo.
And the fourth thing he did was visit his girlfriend.

Sense sentences as before using our ordinal numbers.
Allright, here is a list of ordinal numbers to have us practice:
1 = 1st (first)
2 = 2nd (second)
3 = 3rd (third)
4 = 4th (fourth)
5 = 5th (fifth)

6 = 6th (sixth)

7 = 7th (seventh)

8 = 8th (eight)

9 = 9th (ninth)

10 = 10th (tenth)

100 = 100th (one hundredth)

200 = 200th (two hundredth)

Allright. Now it's time to practise.
Alberto. Does your father have a second job?
I'm not sure I understand.

The second job is an extra job he has to earn more money.
Ok. I understand. No, he doesn't have a second job.

Thank you Alberto.
Anna. What is the name of your mother's first child?
My sister her name's Christina.
Good answer.

Silvia. Does your father know a second language?
Do you mean can he speak two languages?
Yes.
He can speak Slovene and he can speak a litlle German.
Very good.

Alberto. When is your birthday?
My birthday is on the twenty second of April.

Thank you. Anna. When is your mother's birthday?
I think is May first.

Very good. Silvija. When is your brother's birthday?
His birthday is on February eleventh. When is you birthday?
My birthday is November second. Thank you for asking.

Now it's time to look and listen.
My aunt is going to London on the 19th of August.
The frist thing my brother did was brush his teeth.
My cousin ate dinner for the second time!
Clark is Paul's third cousin.
